Earthquakes make great alarm clocks
This morning around 5:18 we had a fairly good sized earthquake that shook my bed for roughly 30 seconds. It was a 4.8 and it's epicenter was about 12 miles outside of anchorage... Hell of a way to wake up. hehe
Onto the pic's...
These are from yesterday when I was taking pictures of dragonflys. As I was standing near the edge of the lake trying to be as still as possible to get one of the dragonflys to land near me, I was getting mobbed by these giant Horseflies or Deerflies, whatever you choose to call em. Suckers were as big as a quarter. However, it's not their size that's important. It was how many of them there were. The second pic was taken after I waved more than half of them away....

Links
I'm in the process of re-doing the links in the sidebar to make the page look cleaner and such. Anyone out there with a photoblog need a link, lemme know if I don't have yours up already so I can add it.
Everyone else please remind me as well so I can throw yours up in another section, I have a lot of links I shoulda added a long time ago but I have very short attention span and completely spaced it out. ;)

Reflections in a pond
Ok, I guess I should explain a little about these....
I took a picture of some tall grass reflected against the sky in a pond.... then, with a wave of my have and a flash of smoke I made them look like this. Ok, that explanation sucks but I can't do tutorials for crap. If you look real hard you can see the bottom of the pond behind the grass ;)

On the way to Otter Lake
Harvey on his way to meet me at the lake, the reason I am showing this pic is the background... looks like he's a million miles from nowhere when actually he just left the main road. It goes from paved road and buildings directly to dirt road, bushes and trees. There's no gradual transition... it's pretty funny.
This is where my HotRod was sitting as he pulled up. Click on the truck, it looks great in high res.
