Your kid is really cute, just don't tell him I said that ;-)

He'd either get shy or arrogant ;-P

Dave this is really nice. I'm no pro and I'm sure I can't verbalize myself most of the time but this shot is, in my opinion, almost perfect. I like how its out of focus everywhere but on the light hitting his hair - gives it an almost, oh I don't know, what's the word, ethereal quality. and the tones on the shirt are perfect.

Ha, I've been missing your pictures of him. The mom in me is thinking he needs a haircut! (My nephews have hair like that, though. It drives me nuts, but my sister is okay with it.) Anyway, I didn't come here to kvetch about hair. I love this photo. Hope you do more of these.

Karen, Kvetch?

And there's nothing wrong with the hair, really! :-P

Dave, doesn't he mind being put online like that? ;-)

Skavenger, Ya, I try not to boost his ego any... he's already a lil suck-up. hehe

Monica, yep it is, for only 99.99 a month you too can sponser this child... muhaha

Gyp, hah, ya? I was suprised at how it turned out... it was one of those real quick deals.

Karen, I really like his hair long... he does too. Last time I said he might need it trimmed he put his hands on his head and said he had a hair shield and there was no way I was getting thru it...

Skavenger, this was actually his Idea, I've created a monster. I can't take the camera out without him trying to pose for it. That was one he came up with on his own... the whole arms crossed lookin like he just did something wrong deal.

Leenda, not gonna cut it... how's the new place?

Are you the guy with the face that looks like a cheeseburger?

;-)

How old is you son now by the way? If he's stuck up already... By the time he's 20 he'll turn down girls telling them he only dates models XD

Blogger Dave said...

Yep, that's me :) I hate camera's..... kinda ironic.

He's 6... lil goofball

LOL! A photographer who hates cameras... Ironic indeed :P

I thought the boy was nine or something... If he gets stuck up because of me saying that, tell him that it means that by the time he's 37, he'll look 40 ;-)

I know I'm not going to be liked by anyone here for saying this. Oh well. *s

All the 'oooh, nice pic!' comments are useless unless they're accompanyied by a thoughtful critique. Praise without thought is as useful as crituque without reconstruction.

I know I know, shut up, Gypsy.

But I can't. You see, you turn out some amazing things sometimes and you don't see that or you shrug it off when you do. Yet you're here posting your photos so you must want to grow and become the best photographer you can.

I'll shut up now though.

Dave, kids know what they want, don't they? My guy is the same. He has his hair the way he likes it -- never mind what I like.

Skavenger, are you picking on me?

Gyp, you're completely correct... and I seriously do appreciate any kind of critique.. and that's exactly why I do this, to get feed back, see what people like and what they hate. Hah, no need to "shut up" you hit the nail on the head... although I do like the ohh's and ahhh's every now and then ;)

Karen, sure nuff, he even has ways he wants his hair combed... no matter what I do to it he turns right around and fixes it his way... lol

And nope I don't think skavenger was pickin on you I think she did not understand what "kvetch" meant...

It means to harp or complain, btw skavenger.... hehe

CD, hey! Nearly forgot about ya... yeah actually i'd like to have this one framed... heh

Yeah, the reason I asked about Kvetch is because we have a word very much like it (Kwats. It's used in our local dialect, it's a variation of the german word Quatch), and it means to talk nonsense, or just small talk. I was just curious :-)
Oh yeah, and I'm a language freak, can't help it, heh...

I wouldn't dare go picking on you Karen :-)

Gypsy, there was criticism though, about whether or not the boy needs a haircut ;-)
