Ft. Rich, 6-30-05

No real great pics today, I just took these to remember the day. This is a close up of the sun trying to break thru it was taken in the same place as the mountain/rays pic below.... about 2 min's later.

Ft. Rich, 6-30-05

Thick clouds most of the day, fairly muggy... alot of fires still burning nearby. So it was still hazy as well.

Ft. Rich, 6-29-05

Was a hazy day, a large fire near by left us pretty much smoked out for most of the day.

Random pics, 6-28-05

A very large mushroom, I tossed a dime on top to give an idea of just how big.

Random pics, 6-28-05

I took over 300 pictures today on Fort Richardson, Botanical Gardens and The Inlet.... I randomly picked a few from the top 100.

The Inlet, 6-28-05

This is the time i wish i had a better camera, this looked really neat.

Botanical Gardens, 6-27-05

Almost forgot the Bleeding Hearts :)

Botanical Gardens, 6-27-05

A panoramic shot of one small section of the gardens.

Botanical Gardens, 6-27-05

We stopped by The Botanical Gardens for a few minutes after work, It had just rained and the sun was out... that's a great time for pics. Right as we got there the sun vanished behind some big clouds, but still got a few good shots before the rain started up again.

Ft. Rich, 6-27-05

This rose was grown in a huge garden at someone's quarters on base. Going back tomorrow to get a picture of the entire garden.

The Inlet, 6-26-05

Stopped by the inlet on the way home.

Rainbow, 6-26-05

Just learning to use this new panoramic software I recently recieved. Saw this rainbow at about 10 at night, it did get a lot brighter at one point but i wasn't fast enough to get it. I'm just happy the panoramic deal worked :) As you can see Fletcher was not happy about posing for a picture. So I just took this one so he could be done... hehe

Chem Trails @ The Inlet, 6-24-05

Harv call's these Chem trails, as in chemical trails from airplanes. I think he may be right.

Ft. Rich, 6-24-05

Been workin 12 hour days, so all my shots will be on base for 6 days a week. On the good side, there's a lot to look at :)

On the way home, 6-24-05

Summer Solstice longest day of the year, 6-21-05

At summer solstice, the sun once again bakes Alaskans due to the tilt of the earth's axis that leans us toward the sun. Not that these picture have anything to do with it, i was just screwing around with photoshop/paintshop... heh. Both of these pictures were extermely blury, couldn't fix them so I just smeared em. I guess there really is no such thing as a bad picture anymore.
