These were underneath an ice flow that backed up a creek a good ways past it's banks. It's been unusually cold very early in the year and the water froze to quickly.

These little birds have been flocking by the hundreds to eat the berries off the trees around Ft Richardson. I stopped to get a quick shot of one, the pic was fuzzy and dark. Sooooo,...I messed with it.

Eagle at Ship Creek

I shot this of an eagle landing as I was standing under some powerlines. I had pretty much thought this pic was worthless utill I monkey'd with it in paintshop. Now is no'sobad. ;) Might look pretty cool with a white border inside a black frame.

Ship Creek covered in ice pt 3

For the last few days it's been bitter cold with a ton of sun (ya, I know it doesn't add up), the creek has been making the neatest patterns as it freezes.

Downtown Anchorage

This is a shot from the 5th floor of the JC penny parking garage. I did not mean to line the sun up with the base of the hook on the crane, just lucked out ;)

The Moon

An almost full moon rising over the chugach mountains, shot from Fort Richardson(where I work).

Both of these pictures were taken in exactly the same spot, one straight out and one straight down. When I started my break a few weeks ago the streets were clear, as of today I think it's snowed over 9 inches.

Up in the very top of the lower picture, the 2 tiny blots on top of the tree are eagles.

Back from break

Think I'm ready to start takin pictures again, I had gotten pretty burned out on shooting pic's. I take that "pic a day" thing fairly seriously and go out of my way to make sure I have a shot to post. I figured I'd set a serious deadline for myself and make sure I met those demands, it's the only way I assumed I'd get any better. Turns out I miss it more than I thought I would... ;)

This is a shot of the sun thru some pretty wild fog/clouds... it was cold as hell, bout 11 degrees Fahrenheit.
