Cook Inlet 05
I have posted this one before, but I've worked on this one a bit. I'm still not taking/working on as many pictures as I should be. I know taking a break is good but I feel if I get confortable where i'm at I won't be moving foward, so not feeling like working on pictures is kind of a drag. (plus I have been working alot on a buddy's house). Hopefully i'll getback into the groove here in the next few weeks =\

Nice eye. Love to see some pics--candid ones--of the streets of Anchorage. Maybe you can add my blog to one of your great reads?
That is so HOT!
BTW DAVE: my blog is all messed up, I have a guy helping me, but if I can't get it going I may have to postpone the little photo deal until I can get back up and running...i'm in bloggie w/drawls!
take away the sun and this looks as I feel-almost at least-nice-you rock at photogrpahy and if I ever happen to get published your on my top 2 for doing pics so you can make some real mula :)
Nice one Dave ! I'm taken it with me hope ya don't mind ?
I looked at that one too, wanting the same lens. The fixed lens isn't going to work for me so I'm a bit bummed. Contax makes a digital SLR that takes Zeiss lenses. But the camera body, alone, is over 2 grand. Before you but this camera, think about it first. I think you'd be really happy with it if you're willing to deal with its range. For what you're going I think you'd be satisfied. I did read somewhere that Sony's macro attachment is getting a less-than review. I don't want to burst your bubble but at the same time, as a fellow newbie to all this who wants to succeed, I do want to ask you to look at all your options thoroughly. I've been doing a lot of reading up on different products. I have my eye on the Canon 20d right now. If I don't get the Sony, I will probably get the 20d. Or the Rebel if I can't ply a few hundred via panhandling (kidding).

I meant to leave this comment under the below post.
I like this picture. Remember the set of The Truman Show, when Carrey walked through the set at the very end, after sailing across its faux sea? The sky in this photo has that same quality, almost unreal, as if you could rip it open.
Cool clouds! another nice one Dave!
The clouds look angry in b&w. Beautiful. Sometimes we all need a change in pace or scenery. Variety is the spice of life.
digfordummies, yeah I'll add yer link, np.
cameradawktor, thx, and it's np at all :)
Chris, hah thx a ton man.
Wally, hell no man, do what ya want with it.
underexposed, I was thinking the rebel as well, they had a sweet deal for around 899 here at costco, but they ran out I guess. I'll check out this camera some more for sure, thanks for the feedback on that.
Wolf, lorrain, NM and marc.. thanks!
That's an ominous sky and love the strange light breaking through the clouds, definitely works in b&W!
