I love the low horizon in this picture, the fact that it's mostly sky. And it's a sunset, but not the usual red and orange kind you see so often. I also like the composition, the way the positive and negative space have a strange sort of symmetry. It's a very restful picture.

DJ your creative images are really nice and the editing skills are improving also. Not to detract from your images but it'd be nice to see those skills applied to a different subject matter. I'd love to see the essence of David Johns! Whats he into? What makes him laugh? What makes him pissed?

son, I neve thought of them as melancholic but I can see where you're coming from.. and thanks ;)

ali, I used paintshop to blur the pic and corel to paste a sketch over top then I blended them together.

Cresendo, a sunset is not a fish! Hah, hey thanks again.

Karen, restful, yeah that's more like it...that's kinda what I thought.

Dave K, thanks man.. you're stuff is kick ass as usual.

Wolf, same to you man, thanks and good stuff.

ndiginiz, haha, i think I might have something around that subject matter ;)

Great photos, Dave. The range of topics is interesting and you use a lot of inventive perspectives. I like the one of the boy with the word puzzle and the one of the chain fence. Great stuff; thanks for sharing.
