Lunchtime Visitors
We stop every day for lunch at a place called Cottonwood Park (a beautiful spot located on Fort Richardson where I work). It's right on the edge of a forest and sometimes wildlife wanders in, hell they live there. Today at lunch this mamma and her baby showed up. She instantly turned defensive, sent the baby up a tree and waited for us to leave (guarding her baby). All these shots were taken from inside of my work van.

Lions and tigers and bears, oh my!
You got up close and personal!
these are awesome.
Well glad you were in the van. . . the photos are great.

dave, my sister is a chef in wyoming (lodge) and the bears are crazy there right now...one tore up their sled for the lodge!! on the way down the mountain, one of the bears stood in the road for 30 minutes and did not move...aggresive might be a good word for it...but momma and baby b/w is awesome...i can't believe you were that close!!
Sweet! And here I thought a Kitten in a log was a cool Cottonwood story! =)
That is sooo cute!
