Late breakfast

We went back to hogg brothers this morning with my buddy ross, Fletcher had a hot chocolate and a bowl of ceral(what a goof).
On the way out he found a hill of snow to mess around on, took me 5 minutes to get him to come down.

Yeah, that's actually the reason I started to take pictures... I have so few of me as a kid, no that's not right... i have none. So I started going crazy on my son, then i could not stop taking pictures of everyhting. Maybe it's a weird obsession, dunno.

Thanks much :)

Does your son like being photographed, does he see his photos on your site?

I'm sure he will love looking back & seeing himself, how you captured moments of his life.

Another question, What is the most amount of pictures you have taken in one day? Curious.

Some days he digs it and other days he hates it,usually I try to catch him when he's not paying attention(if I tell him it's for his grandparents he usually lets me take a picture where he's looking at the camera) he knows I post these online but I don't think he completely understands what "online" is(don't get me wrong, he's extremely bright). He's never really known what it's like not to have a computer in the house so it's pretty much common place for him.

As for the number of pictures, the most in a day was over 500, but keep in mind I try to take panoramic shots of everything I take a single of (when I do a pano I take several pics next to each other, so i can stitch them together later).. but yeah it was like 560something.

The blog now is pretty much a deadline I force myself to keep, even if no-one ever came here I would still try to meet each deadline. At least 1 good picture a day.

Oh yeah, one other thing... pretty much for every picture I post here I have about 10 more of the same situation, different angle, different camera setting(even tho my settings are very limited). I have about 30 of him at that table drinking hot chocolate. Someone once told me, "if you take 1000 pictures and 1 turns out good then they were all worth it."

He also said, "If you take a thousand pictures you're chances of getting a good one go up exponetionally" ;)

thank god its digital ! try the samething with film ... u will see something else ! the selection has to happen right then, puts u in the moment. but good going david. great pics. do u use a tripod for ur 560 s ?

Nope, don't even own a tripod(although i really need to get one), yeah i could never have done that with film... wonder what it would cost to develop 500 pictures. I'll probably never use a film camera, to tell the truth, before i started this blog i had only used a camera maybe 3 times before i bought the one i have now.

With film, if you have the money to spare, it's not so much the cost of developing. It's what do you do with all those extra pieces of paper? That's what I love about digital. It's all virtual.

But I agree, when you shoot with film, you think about it more in the moment, rather than relying on choosing the best shot after the fact. (Though there's a lot of that too.)
