AWAC Memorial, 10-30-05
I think i like this one better in black and white.... anyone who sees this lemme know what you think.
Took the kids to go see the eagle rehabilitation cage on Elmendorf Airforce Base(seen in the back of the pic to the right), right next to it is the memorial for the AWACS airplane that crashed in 1995 killin 13 people(all military personnel) It hit a pack of geese and went down not far off the runway. AwacS is an acronym for Airborne Warning and Control System

In the AWAC memorial pictures, the light effects look better on the colour one, but the shape and composition comes through more in B&W.
I like the Eagle Cage picture because at that angle your son could almost be mistaken for mine, although your guy is a little younger, I think.
Yeah i think you're right, thanks for the input :) How old is your boy?
One of our friends was killed in the AWACS crash. I believe there were 24 men who lost their lives that day. I'm enjoying your blog/photos!
He's nine, going on ten pretty soon.

Think you're right on the 24 that were killed there, If you want.. you could give me the name of your friend and I can grab a flower or whatever and toss it on the memorial for you and take a pic of it. (they have plaque's for each person)

You know, it really doesn't feel like all that long ago that mine was too. ;-)
